How Much Will it Cost?

Basically, there are three main cost factors to take into consideration:

• First, you will need to register your domain name (www.yourname.com)with a registrar.  They charge an initial fee upon registration of your domain name then an annual renewal fee for you to keep your domain name.

• Secondly, you'll need web hosting services, which is also renewable annually.  There are many web hosts available and we can assist you with your selection of a Christian or good secular host.

• Most web hosting companies will register your domain name and even offer a reduced rate, or a free domain name for as long as you remain with them for your hosting service.

• Thirdly, the cost of your web design will depend largely on the package you choose.  Christian Webmaker offers the most popular choices:

  • The one page Flyer for $300.00 ($40.00 per additional page up to 4)

  • The Basic 5 page package for $500.00 ($40.00 per additional page up to 9)

  • The Standard 10 page package for $700.00 ($40.00 per additional page)

  • Five Page Content Management System (CMS) for $600.00

We will not sell you anything you don't need so when we quote a price it will specify the base package that will include everything you need to have a web site.  Additional options will be provided based on your answers on the Quote/Profile Questionnaire and one or two other options we feel would most benefit your web presence or business.  As mentioned, you are not required to select the options.  You can always add more options to your web presence at a later date.

We are able to keep our rates low, but our quality high because we have virtually no overhead.  We'll never become millionaires, but our reward comes from an honest job well-done and a satisfied client.  We also look forward to our Heavenly reward.

*Personal checks must clear the bank before website is transferred to your domain.  Post-dated checks will be returned.  A  $35 fee for checks returned for insufficient funds will be assessed.

What can I expect if I decide to design, update, and maintain my own website?

Almost every webhosting company now offers Content Management Systems whereby you are able to create, update and maintain your own website.  You can design the website yourself or we can design it then leave the updating to you.

Ask yourself the following questions if you decide to design and maintain your own website:

• Why have a web site?

• What will be your mission or goal?

• What are your expectations?

• What will be the domain name?

• What type of website will you have...informational, image, service, portal, support, e-commerce?

• Who is your target audience?

• Who will do any research required for content or search engine optimization?

• Does the church or organization have the necessary equipment, editing software, connections to the Internet?

• How will the website be funded?

• What web hosting service will you use?

• Who will design the website? Prepare the graphics, write the html?
